I think its complete BULL SH*T Pete Rose bet that his team would win an they took everything from him. But its ok for the athletes of today to take steroids an break records. If I was Hank Aaron i would be extremely pissed. Anyone can break records with steroids but only a true athletes can break them without. Barry Bonds should be stripped of all his titles an undergo steroid test monthly. NO more of this 3 strikes an your out. 2 steroid strikes an your OUT

I know that is what everybody says, but why didn't he ever test positive for steroids? Yahoo sports columnist Dan Wiesel reported that Bonds has been tested several times and has been clean every single time and in the article quoted some players saying that Barry has gotten a bad rap from the media and that he is innocent of the accusations against him. If you have an article or something that says something definitive with proof of steroid abuse----not hearsay or supposition, but real hard undeniable court of law type proof, please share it. If not, I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt until he is proven guilty. I was convinced by Wiesel's article. Sorry, I don't have the link to the article, but it was within the last week. I say "Good 4 You Barry."

I think people's opinions should be left out of the record books. Leave it the same as always because that's the number. They never put an asterisk next to Maris' name like some wanted to and they shouldn't do it with Bonds.

i can't stand Bonds but whats the point of that? What you don't think the pitchers are juiced to. There are plenty of other reasons I dont want to see Bonds at the top of the list. Don't think i would have wanted to see ty cobb break all those records eithier

it still takes talent to be able to hit the ball, go up against the best pitching in the world and hit different pitches correctly thousands and thousands of times. a player could very easily be on steroids but have terrible hand/eye coordination and still never have a hit!

Actually I would rather have the First Home Run Ball he hit, cuz without it-he couldn't have all the others. And I would have attempted in getting his signature on it as well. But hey-Who Knew?

As a fan, you have the option to refuse to recognize it. And i think that is the only choice we will have.
I would love to see a whole stadium crowd turn their back to the game if he does it. Unlikely but fitting.

I wouldn't fret about it too much - it seems pretty likely that A-Rod will beat out Bonds in a couple of years.
