I just moved to Terrell, Texas and there are beautiful iris growing in front of my house. They are yellow with what looks like paintbrush splatter of burnt orange color. I want to learn what species it is and the proper care of them. Can anyone help me?

Maybe you can find it among these Bearded Iris:
This is Rio (click your refresh buttom if this doesn't come up at first)

From your description it might be a Tiger Honey Zebra Iris if the "paint splatter" is intense:

Good luck! Hope this helps.

Bearded Iris.....lucky you...every real early spring dig them up and cut them apart...youll see where they are making a nother one connected to it.....have a big bucket with soapy water with a half cup of bleach in it and wash them...cut off any rotten parts and replant them...they will grow anywhere here.....they will die back and grow back in spring......more sun more flowers...very little water....after they get big....dont water a lot they will rot...
