I really like Aiden but I think its way to popular. I think the name Kieran would grow on me, but if you have to tell people how to pronounce it, you know he'll be doomed come school.
My husband and I went through this with our youngest daughter. I liked Justine (he hated it), he liked Kayla (I hated it) and we ended up with deciding on Ava an hour after she was born.
My 17 daughter was reading this question over my shoulder and goes "I really like Logan Matthew Michaelson." and I agree as well. I think it goes well with your other childrens names and makes me think of someone strong with a great personality. Maybe Philip, Kyle, Vincent (I like Vin Michaelson), Jake.
Best wishes

I don't think either Aiden or Keiran go well with Michaelson. I like Matthew Michaelson, though. Maybe try:
Matthew Caleb
Matthew Ian
Matthew Scott
Matthew Eric
Matthew Neil

I think Matthew would be a better first name, just because your last name starts with an M as well.
Matthew Aiden sounds nice,
or Matthew Keiran.
I also think that Keiran Aiden sounds nice as well. :]
I like both names, although I haven't heard Keiran before, I really like it.

unfortunately, i dont like either. I like Matt Michaelson. But the coupling with Keiran and Aiden is to much. Matthew is better suited as a first name.
I like Matthew Aiden Michaelson much better.

Both Aidan and Kieran are great names. I prefer Kieran though. Aidan is super super trendy right now. There are so so many babies being named Aidan or some other rhyming name (Hayden, Jayden, Caden, Braden) right now, so I would avoid it. It will be very likely that he will have five or more kids in his class with the name Aidan or one of the rhyming names. Kieran on the other hand isn't as popular, and I think would be a nice choice. But since you don't like it I think you just have to go back to the drawing board and find another name. Since both Aidan and Kieran are Irish names, I'll suggest some more Irish names you and your husband might like.
Cian or Kian- pronounce Key-in
Cillian or Killian
Brendan
Colin
Connor
Cormac
Davin
Declan
Dylan
Owen
Finnian or Finn
Garrett
Grady
Hugh
Kevin
Liam
Lachlan
Patrick
Quinn
Riordan (Rear-den)
Ronan
Rowan
Rory
Sean
Seamus (Shay-mus)

It doesn't matter if we like them or not. You guys need to go back to the drawing board and come up with at name you both like. This happened with my son. We just kept putting names on our lists and marking them off until one just really stood out that we both could get excited about.
If you want to know the names I like:
Corbin
Thomas
Mason (but I don't think that's a good on for you)
Bailey
Brooks
Cade
Hunter - I like this one with your last name
Taylor
Tyler
Ashlee
Beau - but only if you are Southern
Joshua
Anyway, don't give up. Just pick up a piece of paper and start writing names, have your hus do the same and then compare. You'll find one. You still have a long way to go, yet.
Good luck and best wishes.
BTW, Aiden is OK, but Keiran sounds like a girl. Both might be difficult for others to figure out how to pronounce.

Perhaps since you can both agree on the Matthew piece you can make his first name Matthew and then debate over the middle name? Just a thought, I know baby names are a sensitive topic since the child has to live with it. Personally, I like your name (Aiden) better, it's a nice name. Good luck! =)

I really like Aiden and Keiran, so I don't think you could go wrong with either. Or maybe you could combine the two to make Kaden or Aiken or Aaron?
Or why not go for the name you both like- Matthew, and go back to the drawing board for a middle name?

wow... that's a tough situation... To be honest, I like Aiden Matthew much better. Don't like Keiran at all. Why don't you compromise and name him Matthew ?? or come up with a new name all together? What about Dylan? Tristen? Wyatt?
