Two suggestions:
First, try spraying the plant with either ground up red peppers in water or with a solution of water, epsom salt, and dish detergent.
Second, I use beer to get rid of snails. I put it out in saucers or small bowls at night, and the next morning it's full of dead snails. I don't know if it would work on worms, but it can't hurt to try!
Of course, you could always get a couple of geese or guineas and allow them free range in your garden. They will eat every bug in sight and not hurt the flowers or veggies!

if you don't want to spray it with chemicals..use flour, worms and catapillars can't drink enough after this to still live. Just dust it litely with flour after dark. the worms will die before morning.
