my father told me that ronal reagan was a bad president because he raised taxes on goods necessary for life and lowered them on everything else so rich people could get richer and poor people would get even poorer.

i'm wondering, ron paul is a republican and supported ronald reagan apparently. but what views does he share with reagan? and does he make rich people richer and poor people poorer? because ron paul from what i've read seems like my kinda guy, he doesn't want to **** anyone over, but apparently ronald reagan did. so what's the deal? thanks

and why would ron paul vote for reagan if reagan did **** people over?

Ron Paul is much smarter than Reagan. I couldn't stand him and disagreed with nearly everything he did and said, as well as Bush I after him.
But I'd need to hear about Ron Paul's stance towards public education. If he's so (R) that he wants to continue to gut out public schools with budget cuts, I wouldn't vote for him. If he's for cutting income tax and raising sales tax, cool, but if he's for a flat tax, we'll never pay off our $9 trillion debt.
The super rich would make out big, and I don't believe that Scheisse saying that cutting all taxes would increase revenues ENOUGH to pay even our current debts, much less future debt. If that were true our debt wouldn't be growing $100 billion a month or so.

ps, if you're a Ron Paul campaigner and want to make valid arguments, don't keep on with the tired old Bush lines that Dems want tax and spend and big government.
Bush has given us huge government, and borrow and spend, with debt growing daily.

Your Dad was wrong. Reagan was great. He made everyone richer.

Ron Paul shares Reagan's views on taxes and government spending. Although he takes them even farther than Reagan did. But he's different because Ron Paul opposes the Iraq war, while Reagan probably would've supported it. Some people will claim that Reagan would've opposed the Iraq war too. But they're crazy and wrong.

There are 3 styles of persons. a million) people who love you no count what you do. 2) people who hate you no count what you do. 3) people who do no longer care the two way. If Ron Paul's message is heard by potential of sufficient human beings, and the swing electorate get his message, he extremely has a risk interior the polls. reality is contagious. Given sufficient time, reality continually wins.
