Sure. Stay in shape. Work out, lift weights, and stretch *a lot* - that means at home, too. Perhaps improve your diet a bit. Try to eat one more fruit or vegetable a day.

Some of my favorite things to practice were jumps. You can impress anybody with an awesome toe-touch.

Here's a great website with tons of info on cheer technique, stunting, and even words and movements to new cheers: http://www.varsity.com .

Go for it! I'm beautiful certain you might make a pleasant cheerleader.;) If you're traditional and also you desire to be standard, believe me you might end up standard. I suppose if you're going to bounce and are taking tumbling categories you'll quite often be located because the one of the crucial bases of the flyer. The flyer is the character who will get thrown up or driven up within the air. The bases are those who're essentially the most accountable for buying a flyer into the air aswell as her saftey coming back off to the bottom ;) GOOD LUCK!

The only way to know if you will meet the requirements of the team is to check with the coach. :^)

I think you will be fine. Just go through this page and get familiar with some of the things you will be doing in cheerleading like stretching, jumps, stunts, tumbling and so forth:

Be the loudest and most energetic person there, even if your not good you will be noticed. Always be the first one to volunteer don't be shy! Just be yourself and have fun. Work at everything you want, I taught myself how to do a split, backbend, backhandspring, and all my jumps. Just remember practice, practice, practice, and have fun! GOOD LUCK!!!! :)

Be daring! Don't be afraid of trying things you think are dangerous, because the coaches wouldn't ask you to do something you're not ready for.

just make sure you get along with the other girls, bc they may be the ones that would put you in the captin spot. and practice, practice, practice, no squad member likes an unprepared squad mate...

hope I helped!

umm...if you can't do cheerleading, why did you sign up? cheer technique takes a lot of time to build up. there is the tumbling, stunts, jumps, and motions. idk if i would havee done that if i wer you. youre gonna be a very sore person after your first day.
