Okay, I met this man from this Model Talent thing. I came into his office and he didn't seem very nice. He acted like he was in a hurry or something. He said that he knows a photographer. He told me (in a very fast way) that I have to pay him $100 (cash or credit card) for the photoshoots and this came out of the blue for me. He didn't even want me to have time to think about it. He said that it's now or never. So guess what? I chose never. He wasn't a likable person and he seemed like he wanted to get rid of me and only wanted my money or something. I told him that I'm not gonna pay for the photoshoots,He asked why. I told him that I'm not gonna get spammed. He didn't even know what spammed meant. That jerk was playing dumb. He should know what spammed means since he works in the acting/modeling world. Was I doing the right thing? Was I almost spammed?

Just in case, here is how I found out about this whole thing.

Yeah, they just looking for $, most of those people can't do crap for you 99.9% of the time.

If a scout sees you in the streets, and they are legit from a real agency, they will not charge you.
If you want to go into this overcrowded, competitive business, you will need a headshot, but do it from word of mouth.

Most likely that guy after pumping $100 from you would then try to get more and more $.

After you get a headshot, try sending it to the major various modeling agencies. You can check their background online with the BBB.

No, you heavily isn't waiting to take action against jackpotcity, or maybe though else you ascertain in for. you probable did this of your guy or woman loose will, and you fairly might have outstanding-well-known you may get direct mail after this. web pages like jackpotcity sell their lists of e mail addresses to spammers, and optimum spammers pay a reliable fee to get those lists. it is why you get further and extra beneficial direct mail. somewhat you have found out via now which you at the instant are not getting something for not something (a loose sign-up bonus, as an occasion.) the extra beneficial you open direct mail, the extra beneficial direct mail you get. each time a clean one is provided in, you're indignant, you open the crap, and that notifies the spammer that he has a honestly, stay e mail handle. He, then sells that recommendations and the direct mail keeps coming. Why interior the international do not you employ the direct mail filters Yahoo has given you. i've got have been given been giving this recommendation for 10 years and am besides the actuality that shocked at those that save on beginning off junk and then thinking why they proceed to get junk.

Yes, craigslist is definitely not a place to be looking for an agent or casting notices. .With one exception. Reality shows do use craigslist frequently. My girlfriend got on two reality shows from craigslist notices.

Anyways, legit agencies do NOT advertise for clients. And as everyone else has said, never pay for anything up front. Also, agents should not ever require you to take specific classes, or use a certain photographer.

You were definitely getting "scammed". And I really hate getting "spammed" also, all of that junk mail!!

I think you meant "scammed".

I'm sure the guy knows what "scammed" means, but he may indeed be unfamiliar with the word "spammed". LOL
