As long as they're not loaded with croutons, bacon bits, a ton of cheese (a little is okay if the salad is the only thing you're eating), fried noodles (like in oriental salads), or nuts (a few are ok) and you use a small amount (not the whole giant packet!) of dressing, they're a good choice. Fat free dressing is not always the *best* option, because you need some fat in order to absorb some of the nutrients in the veggies that are fat-soluable.

Of course they are healthy. The dressing is the one loaded with fat. But if looking for a healthy salad don't pick the taco salad or the ones loaded with cheese, bacon and crispy chicken. If ever interested most places have a nutrition menu that shows how much fat all their items has (I know McDonalds has one for sure but you can always ask!). So if craving a cheeseburger, and you can't eat a salad without a ton of dressing it would be the same to get the cheeseburger and get rid of your craving!

Not as healthy as what you would make at home. If you get a garden salad those are better. Some come with meats and cheese. Which it's better then eating a greasy burger

Not always..the dressings are the bad thing..however you can go to there site and get nutrition facts. You would be very surprised how fattening and high calories they have.Even at Salad works there is a salad that has 1000 calories...can you believe it?

Salad is salad. Watch out for the dressing or bring your own.

No they aren't. I was reading a study online about how a McDonald's salad is worse for you than a cheeseburger. They said it was because of the type of cheese that they use and they get veggies that are almost rotten.

It depends on what you put on them. If you just do the veggies and a low calorie dressing and some lean meat then it is healthy. If you load on the cheese, bacon and fatty high calorie dressing then you might as well eat a burger.

A salad is a salad, I eat whatever I want. I just eat it in small portions.

Any salad is healthy if you don't dump unhealthy things all over it like Ranch and tons of cheese and bacon. It doesn't matter where it comes from. :)

the salads are ok, just cut down on the dressing, if you look at the packets they are enough for 2 or more servings.
