your 3-day notice to pay or quit is the first step.
if you do not pay your rent within 72 hours then the landlord will go to court to start eviction proceedings.
good luck :)

I know that is a rule in California for non pay. But I looked up a few sights in Texas. Unlike california if you dont leave they have to go to Justice of the Peace court.
This explains it pretty well.

It looks like you can be put on a black list in texas where other landlords know you were evicted. Thats interesting. We dont have that where I live. Good idea though. Anyway.
Good Luck, Hope this helps.

Whatever the law is where the structure is located would apply. That the owner is out of state does not change the eviction law.

It's the beginning. If you don't pay your rent in full, you'll get another notice, but eventually you will be evicted.
Pay your rent or pack up and move out.
