Drink water and natural sugars, not the gatorade stuff,,, need real food and real water,,,, gotta keep hydrated and keep the sugars goin,,,,,,, veggies and the carbohydrates are good in the evening to prepare you for the next day of practice,,, not between meals, some oranges and bananas are good snack foods between practices, its sugar and the vitamins that you need to keep the cramps down,,, and of course the natural waters are always the best,,,, hope that this helps

Keeping hydrated is the key, so plenty of liquids w/electrolites - i.e. Gatorade, Powerade, etc.... As for solids, you should mix in some carbohydrates, like spaghetti or lasagna, but stay away from the simple sugars like candbars, brownies, etc...

a peanutbutter sandwhich has a lot of carbohydrates that really helps your energy level rise.
