Find another school. You cannot afford this one, and you won't benefit by going to any school that's willing to place you in near-bankruptcy. It's more their problem than yours. Register at your local university branch campus or community college, pay back your loans, and get your life back in control. Nobody should have made you go through this.

I have a feeling that this is not a university, but a trade school, like for art, cooking, or auto mechanics. The ones that charge enormous tuition are not worth the money, in general.

Why do you kids get your self in to these situations. First two years of college are same every where. All the universities make you take the same courses as junior colleges. I would advice you to go to a junior college and finish off your 2 years of G.E and then transfer to a university.
In junior college, you are also eligible for Grants that you don't have to pay back. I am so glad someone guided me through that path. I finished my 2 years with no loans on my head and I transferred to UCLA after 2 years with financial aid.
If it's not too late, go to Junior college and don't take loans so early. You should be taking loans for BS or MS degrees.

You have a couple of options.
1. Sell your car...I didn't have one until my junior year and if your school is anything like mine, you will not need one.
2. Go to a school that isn't so expensive. If it is your first year, you could go to a community college to get some of your basic requirements done for A LOT less than at the big universities.

Find a less expensive school. You'll be making lots of decisions like this down the road - if you can't afford something you want, then your choices are to do without it, or to wait while you save up some money to pay for it.

Find another school that closer to home and cheaper.
Do you general classes for a year and save up some more money to pay for school.
Then transfer to the school you want to go too.

You shouldn't have gotten that new car...especially as a first year. Theres no need for a car. Ask your parents for help. If you must, find another university that may suit your needs, perhaps a community college.

If I were you and really wanted to go to this one school then i would make the sacrifice and sell my car. You can always buy another car but may never have another chance to get the education you want

I agree with Kut, you don't need that car quite yet. You may need to come up with other options and ask your folks for serious help, ask them to co-sign another loan for you
