My landlord wants me to buy the washer and dryer in my apartment from him because he does not want to be held responsible for any future repairs. If I do not buy it, he plans on removing the washer and dryer. Can he do this?

If this is truly a lease (a definate fixed term of more than one month) and the washer and dryer is listed on the lease as part of the premises then he must wait until the lease expires in order to remove them.

If you are on a month to month agreement, then he can remove them by giving you a 30-Day Notice.

You'll have to read your lease -- if the lease (and the check-in inventory) mention the availability and presence of the washer and dryer, then you are already "paying" for that service. If it wasn't included in writing, then he can do what he wants.

It depends. Look at your lease. Partially furnished means a washer and dryer if they were there all ready.
Good luck..

I would go back and review your rental agreement you have in place. If it is included in the agreement you have the right to request to keep this in your apartment as he would be breaking the terms of your lease or rent agreement.
