I am thinking of taking her to tucson, taking her out to dinner, giving her her present, and getting a really nice hotel room and doing whatever she wants while we are down ther?

For your girlfriend's birthday why do you spend time with the special people in her life (family and friends). Also show her some respect by showing her respect. Maybe a candlight dinner under the moonlight and maybe a special ring!! and maybe a permanent committment. You never know the mood maybe right and you may give her a birthday she will never forget.

Sounds Fantastic! If she doesn't know yet, you should send her flowers with a note attacthed to it telling her your plans. Maybe plan a day at the spa for her. But, what you have planned already sounds GREAT!
