If it is a good battery then it will last from now on. (like if you just left your lights on or something and drained the power from it)
If it is a bad battery then you will have to replace it soon, in the next week or so.
If it is an alternator (what keeps the battery charged up) then you will be lucky to make it home.

this depends on how old the battery is and the state of electrolyte inside the battery. if you have to keep jumping it off then either your battery life is all used up and yes you will need to get a new battery or the alternator is not keeping it charged and in that case you would need an alternator. it could be that you left a light on when the car was not running and it drained the battery down. in any case you can take your vehicle to any autozone and they will go out to your car in there parking lot and perform an battery test on it and let you know if you need a new battery. they can also perform an alternator test. good luck and hope this helps.

Depends on the reason that the battery died. Was the lights left on, or was there some kind of drain on the battery? Is the alternator working? Are the battery terminals clean?
There may nothing wrong with your battery, it could be something else. Then again, it could be that you have a shorted cell in the battery and it needs to be replaced.
The thing to do, is to have the battery checked with a load test. If it passes, then it was something else. If it fails, then you are at the auto parts place and you get get another one.
Good luck.

If you are with in the reach of a person who is having a hydrometer and multimeter and if he knows how to use it please check the following 1) check voltage of the battery when it is fully charged .if it is a good battery it should be at least 12 volt or bit more .If it is a really good battery it will be around 13 volt. then check the specific gravity of the electrolyte. If you have about 1.250 Sp.gravity , it is good and can use for some time .if it is lower than 1.200 just change it to avoid starting problem .if it is a very good battery sp.gravity can go maximum up to 1.280 . If the voltage higher than 13 volt one or more cell having slight open circuit..If voltage and sp.gravity is correct some time your connection to the battery may be not good and you have to open it and clean.if that is also good you have to check your charger circuit and dynomo or alterrnator which ever is used in you system

As long as the car is running the battery is being charged by the alternator. If you have to keep jumping it to get it started after it sits overnight get a new battery.

After you get your car running again let it idle or run for a few minutes or so. It will charge your battery slightly so you can start your car without having to jump it. This will only work for a While so I'd Say Get As new Battery ASAP!!

about 2-3years check voltage with volt meter (12volt DC) or check acid SG (1.2)

Why it was dead will determine if anything will have to be replaced.
