Anyone considering taking RU-486 should know that it has killed several women. In addition, it can cause trauma because women take the pill, then go home to expel their dead children--and they have to look at their dead babies and deal with them.

RU486 is considered as one of the best abortion pills. It contains Mifepristone, which is responsible to terminate the pregnancy not more than 69 days. Buy RU486 at $90 from buybirthcontrolpills

No, the so-called "abortion pill" cannot be used as birth control. First, it's expensive. Not as expensive as the traditional abortion method but still quite costly. The majority of Women seeking abortion services are those at the lowest ends of the economic spectrum. Therefore, it is not something that they can continuously afford to turn to. Second, not every Woman likes the effects of the pills such as heavy bleeding, painful cramps, or the time it takes to make sure the abortion is complete and for recovery. Many Women like the surgical method far more because it is over quickly and relatively painlessly.
The pills (Mifepristone, Mifeprex, Misoprostol, aka "RU 486") cannot be prescribed through a regular gynecologist due to their classification. Those who do provide them must carry an abortion providers insurance and the facility they are dispensed must meet certain state and federal guidelines. All of these things contribute to the overall cost of using this as a method. Many gynecologists do not want to or cannot take on the additional costs associated with becomming an abortion provider. An OB/GYN does not have to specialize in abortion services but must be willing and able to pay the additional costs associated with providing the service. (In other countries with national health care, abortions are provided at local hospitals and clinics.) It depends on where the Woman is located as to who she must go through to obtain them. Planned Parenthood affiliates can either help her or can refer her to the nearest provider. In larger cities, there are private providers available.
Peace,
Jenn

You have to go to a clinic. First of course they're going to give you a urine test to confirm your pregnancy. Then they will make an estimate based on the first day of your last period, check your uterus to feel the size and position, and give you an ultrasound where they actually measure the uterus and embryo to give you the most accurate idea of how far along you are. Whether you know the date of your period or date of conception or not, this would be a standard procedure. But yes they do have to take a good look at you to find out. Pay no heed to the pro-lifers here, everything they say to you is unconstitutional and frankly just rude. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

You can get it from some Planned Parenthoods, but only the ones who offer abortions. You cannot get it from a pharmacist, and you can ONLY get it from a doctor who specializes in abortions. A doctor who will not do abortions will not prescribe the pill. Also, they give it to you in their office, not as a prescription form you take to the pharmacist. I know this because before I had my miscarriage, abortion was very shortly considered and I got all the information on every form of abortion should I choose that path.
Of course, this information COULD just be for my area, my state, but I doubt it. It would make sense for ANY area and state.

RU-486 can only be given by the abortion provider. it's not birth control. it does put the body through the same trauma as a miscarriage. don't think a woman would want to do that to herself over and over.

I hope that any woman who clicked on this question that is considering taking RU486 thinks twice about its implications..
i had a friend take it thinking that it woud be a simpler, more discreet way of having an abortion.
she spent the next 10 hours shivering in her bathtub covered in her own blood while it felt like her uterus was being ripped apart and her fetus was being chemically murdered.
she said it was the most painful, hellish experience she ever had in her life, and eventually called 911 thinking that she would be dead by the time they even got there.
why this pill is even legal, baffles me. i believe it should not be taken at all, even under medical supervision.. they've simply had too many problems with it, not to mention 7 DOCUMENTED DEATHS with connection to the pill??
its insane..
and needs to be recalled immediately until they can make it safer.. or heres a thought! dont make a new one!
stop murdering your unborn children!
