Since you're all being so honest and open, I'll share mine lol

His name was John. I was around six years old. He was at least into his mid-twenties. And now the worst part *gulp* . . .

Remember I was six and I didn't understand everything yet . . .

He was my cousin!

My first real, real crush was this guy that I met through my sister, he was a total bad boy and I loved it
I was 15 in the beginning
He was 20
I learned that even if you become best friends (which I did) with that person, they may never see you as an object of lust, and eventually you will become like a younger sister to them........

My very first crush was Nick Carter from BackStreet Boys. Good times, good times. But, I was like 8, so.. haha.

Seriously? In Grade 2, I had the biggest crush on a boy in my class. He liked me and another girl - who happened to be my best friend.

I didn't learn much, because I moved the next year and went to a different school. We go to the same high school now, and he dated one of my friends in Grade 8. But, we're still friends, and I'm grateful for that.

As for Nick, I learned he's much, much too old. And I need to lower my standards, haha. :)

I'm willing to risk not winning the best answer points. I would just like to say that the thing I learned most about the experience is that when you have a crush...they're never EVER as perfect as they seem. They're just a person like you and if you DO happen to get together w/them for awhile, you'll discover their lame qualities in time...

The first time I had a crush on someone was when I was in kindergarten. He was in my class, and we even got married during recces. I learned that 6 year olds don't make good husbands

When I was 6 yrs old, I went to an employee picnic at an amusement park with my family. I wanted to go on the rollercoaster but no one would take me. My stepfather's friend Alex stood up, held out his hand and said...I'll take you. I felt my heart swell, I loved him for that! I was 6, he was probably 30....lol. The song "Beach Baby" was playing somewhere, I have it downloaded on my ipod....no kidding!!!! Makes me think of him. What an awesome childhood memory.....

A cutey-pie girl in a pink dress, who suddenly
appeared at the park my mom had taken me
to, dozens of times.
I was five, she, six.

And I learned that the following 2 years of
off 'n on embarrassment--when I'd see
her and hearing her friends call out,
"Hey, loverboy!!"--were wasted, because
it turned out she liked me.

Similars have occurred repeatedly. Shyness is ingrained.
Thank you.

I was 4. He liked me too. I didn't really learn anything. Except maybe that when friends move it's hard I guess or if you go to different schools it's hard to maintain a friendship, because we went to different schools for kindergarten.

Arthur Eggling, 14 years old, 14 years old, he didn't like me one bit! I tried for 2 years and then gave up! Learning experience (you can't make someone like you know matter what extremes you go to)
