I don't know if the Gamecocks will beat the Gators, but this will be quite an interesting year in the SEC East.
Florida & Tennessee are very strong, but they have holes that can be exploited.
Georgia has the potential to be pretty good, but the young guys on defense have to step it up.
South Carolina has enough talent to become a true darkhorse, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them win the East. But the ball is going to have to bounce their way in a couple tight games.
One thing that's easy to lose sight of is that neither Vanderbilt nor Kentucky will be pushovers this season, like they usually are. Andre Woodson of UK may end up being the best QB in the SEC, and Vandy has some viable talent. I expect at least one upset win for each, possibly costing a team an East or a West title.
I don't see any one team in the East being dominant. So with that, I think the Gamecocks can make a serious run at the East title, even if they lose to Georgia [:0)].

Who cares they both are sorry teams. Play a team outside your confernce then talk about the Sec. The gators beat OSU and everyone thinks they are best. Where is Chris Leak did he even get drafted.
