I don't know if any of you Cubs fans remember Adam Greenburg, but he only made one major league appearance and in his 1st at bat he got hit in the head in 2005. He hasn't played baseball since... Anyone know what he plans to do next? Ever coming back to baseball?

What a great story that was. The pitcher that hit him was actually the cousin of one of Adam's teammates, one of the cubs pitchers I think. Anyway, the pitcher that hit Adam has since quit baseball, his life has seriously been affected by the event. It was pretty interesting. Yes, as others have said, Adam is in the Royals system this season. I hope he makes it back. He was a highly touted prospect who had a very unfortunate thing happen to him. Interesting you should ask though.

Greenberg is a modern day Moonlight Graham. Worse actually; he only saw one pitch, and that hit him in the head.

Greenberg recovered and is currently with the Wichita Wranglers (Royals AA, Texas League), batting .261/.358/.417 as of August 6. He primarily plays center field.

Here's hoping he gets back for at least one more game, and this time something good happens.
