In all the books I have. they say to refer to the emission control grap. I dont have such things! My engine Is solid muscule. The only thing you can see is engine. And lots a room under the hood.

I have a midsize carb, Jr torqure intake, A RV cam that runs from 1,000-4,500 And duel headers that I plane to ajust later. Be sides that all else is stock.

Every thing is manule and I wouldent have it any other way.

old school small blocks ran @ 8 degrees before top dead center.

But if you want more advancement off the line then I would set it @ 10 degrees before top dead center.

Your 350 should have no more than 32 degrees total mechanical advance. You'll need a degreed dampener pulley or a timing tape of the correct length on the lower pulley. If you have an aftermarket distributor have it spun on a distributor machine to find what the mechanical advance is. Simply subtract the mechanical advance from 32 and that's where you set the initial advance.

And the question is? Timing with a light cam should be about 13 degree advanced if that is your question.
