Billy Bremner

William 'Billy' John Bremner (born Stirling, Scotland, 9 December 1942; died Doncaster, England, 7 December 1997) was captain of the Leeds United football team of the 1960s and 1970s. He has been voted Leeds United's greatest player of all time and is also a member of both the Scottish Sports Hall of Fame and the English Football Hall of Fame.

As several others have pointed out the original statue is indeed the great Billy Bremner, however the new statue which is currently being installed is that of the official reciever.
