It just pops up on my screen periodically and to get out of it I have to turn my computor off How do I fix that

Are you on dial up and a page cannot load quickly, so it LOOKS blank? (PDF's are miserable on my machine and I have broadband!!)
Or is it a word document? (possibly viral if it is)
Or, on one of my keyboards the mouse is in the middle of the keyboard, I'm forever bumping the buttons with my thumb; which the computer interprets as a click no matter how disorienting to me that it clicks randomly...

Try right clicking and from the menue that pops up delete it.
