I am only familiar with the Essex Jct. and Jericho areas, but I can tell you that there you will find EXCELLENT schools, good job opportunities with IBM and a few other large companies there and a growing multi-cultural population.
There is Lake Champlain and lots of great restruants, fun nightlife and shopping in Burlington. I'd live in Vermont in a minute if I could!

1. There is not a lot of African Americans in Vermont, although there are many here.
2. There is not really anything to do in Vermont that is outdoors, unless you live in Burlington or Barre. Where there are actually people around to do something. They have movie theaters and bowling, if that is your thing.
4. Lyndoville is a nice town, it is a small town. They have a school, and a nice small "downtown" area. There is really nothing to do there. If you go not to far from Lyndoville you can go to St. Jonhsbury which is slightly bigger and has a little more to do. It also is home to one of the worlds best high schools, St. Johnsbury Academy. Many parents from around the world send there kids to dorm at this school so you get to have a lot of cultural diffusion.
4. The real estate market is good, I am not really up on that... so I can't help you there.
Generally if you are planning on moving into Lyndonville, it is a great place and there isn't much to do. Hope that I could help you!!!

There is an African American population, but it is small. Vermont is predominantly white.
There is skiing, biking, nature walks, most larger cities have some good nightlife, there are bookstores with poetry jams and author readings, in the summer there are farmers markets and street sales and festivals.
Never been to lyndonville...
The real estate market is pretty good....houses are selling pretty well....in rutland, VT the average home sale is between 100,000 - 250,000 depending on where you want to live and how much house you need!
Hope this helps....
