My 2005 Nissan Altima speed limiter kicks in at about 130 mph. How do I remove the program that limits my speed?

your probably maxing out the engine, 130mph is real fast unless you wanna blow up your engine i wouldn't take the governor off...lol

You'd need to find a mechanic that has the equipment to reprogram the computer and would be willing to assume the liability if you "plowed into" someone/something while you were going faster than the stock limiter. As it is, if you hit anything at 130 MPH, they'll need to pick you up with a broom, dustpan & a sponge. If you're going to be driving that fast, I'd advise you to : 1) Always carry plenty of bail money,2) Retain a REAL good lawyer, 3) Consider purchasing a burial plot & a prepaid funeral.

first off your factory spec tires can't handle speeds over 130+ that is why Nissan has the limiter on it. Where can you drive 130+?

You can't remove the limiter. If you want to go faster, buy a nissan sentra SE-R Spec V.
