Your heart, because your mind thinks about alot of things such as the consequences behind your actions, what people will think of me, etc. Your heart at he end of the day will let you be yourself and put your mind at ease.

Neither one gives you freedom, since you need both to live. Which one would be less useful??? You can't live without your heart, but you could loose your mind. This is tough... I'll go with mind gives you more freedom, heart always tries to limit your freedom by not supplying enough flow of oxygen. Also, the heart works for the mind, so as the boss of pretty much you whole body, the mind has more freedom.

I don't think the the two can be separated. Freedom is an illusion, you can be imprisoned or free in any situation depending on how you feel and 'know' that situation.
Freedom is ultimately safety, however how you justify or judge that is individual. I have worked with children who feel truly safe within a physically abusive family yet when they are taken to a place of 'safety' as defined under the law they never feel 'safe' or feel freed again even when they reach adulthood and live independently.
To separate the mind and heart means you are separating parts of yourself, how can you 'be' if you are made up of separate and competing parts? Cognitive dissonance in my opinion. To others, perhaps the soul.
To think is to be. To feel is to think. Just being is to think and to feel. If your heart tells you one thing and your mind another then you do not understand how you are or who you are.
The way I feel and think is intrinsically me. I am me and only me. I recognize cognitively when and why I feel and feel emotionally when and why I think what I do. Sounds like a riddle but basically if the two are discordant then you do not understand yourself. They are one and the same in my opinion.

I would have to say my mind!! If I followed my heart I would only do things that liked or love.......but my mind tends to wonder off into new things allowing me to try more than my heart would stand for. Besides when you follow your heart its most the time its because you have to choose one or the other. However your mind would tell you to do or take both!!
So yeah my mind gives me more freedom!!

How about the mind & the "heart" working in conjunction? I don't separate the many facets of me, mind, body, spirit, heart. They are harmonious if we ALLOW them to be. Would that be "freedom"? I think so. Focusing on one more than the others causes imbalance.

i guess the mind just tends to over think everything, therefore limiting your freedom. the heart just acts on instinct.
