Cervical dysplasia simply means they found a few cells that aren't 100% normal.
They may do a culposcopy. This is simply alonger vaginal exam, which involves painting the cervix with a weak vinegar solution, and looking at it with a special light. Any problem areas will show up. Sometimes they do a biopsy, which is like a very nasty pinch [ nothing after giving birth ].
I have had several abnormal paps [ 3 in 15 years ], with culposcopies after, but nothing ever was bad.

I guess you might mean "cervical dysplasia"? It's very common. Dysplasia means there are some abnormally shaped cells present. The doc will scrape off a sample (doesn't hurt) and send the cells to a lab. If they are harmless he will probably just keep an eye on them. If they are questionable he will probably remove them to be safe, there are different procedures for this but they are all performed in his office and you won't feel too bad, and only for an afternoon or so. In the unlikely event that the cells are malignant, your doctor will talk to you about options, but this isn't anything to worry about as it's very uncommon. Good luck.

Dysplasia is caused by a form of human papoloma virus (not sure how to spell) Basically what it is, is abnormal cells. High grade dysplasia can lead to cervical cancer, but these can easily be removed using lasers or electricity.
If they found low grade, they'll probably refer to an OBGYN and they'll do a biopsy of your cervix to see how far or how many you have and if it's necessary for them to remove them.
Breath easy though, if they're low grade they may just monitor them for a little while/
