Yes and no...it all depends on what you think good gas mileage is. They get about 20 in the city (stop and go traffic) and up to 30 on the highway. So if you are going to be doing a lot of highway driving, you will definately save money on gas. If you live in the city and do mostly city driving, then look into getting a Toyota Corolla or something like that.

Surprisingly no modern day Corvettes are subjected to the gas guzzler tax. It's true as the day is long that for the most part it's not unusual to knock off an excess of 26 -28 mpg with the 400 horse version and 24-26 on the ZL-6 505 hp. version.
Think of it, some people are spending a ton of money for a Roush mustang (43 grand) and they get under 15 mpg. When it's trade in time the basic car is worth $23. The Rouch adder is $20.000. How much do you think it'll be worth? Not much!
The Chevy Corvette trade in value is pretty amazing if it's taken care of. The local Ford dealers have been trained to tell prospective customers the Rouch Mustangs will smoke a ZL-1 Corvette.
All you need to say is how quick will they run the quarter mile and how fast are they. Watch them fumble a*s for an answer!

This Corvette is only 6 years old so it should be good as a daily driver. It all depends on the history of the cars original owners if they took care of it. Use it only on weekends if this was the reason why you are buying it, to show it or take it on Sunday drives, otherwise, drive the car daily. good luck. PS... Mine is a weekend and show Corvette only and it is a Stingray, but this is not why it is a weekend only car. There just arent that many left and i plan on keeping it for a long time, (I'm the 13th owner) and i have had it since 2005

The 07 actually get about 18-26, which for how much horse power they are putting out, is pretty good mileage. My 04 Grand Prix GTP only gets about 20 mpg and has alot less hp than the new Vette. Considering that back in the 60's and 70's they wouldnt get but 8-14 mpg, they have really improved.

No more than many other cars.
I average 16-17 MPG in the city and 27-28 MPG on the highway in my 2006 coupe. Better fuel economy than many non-sports cars out there. You can use it as an everyday driver with no problem as long as you don't run into snow.

C5 owner with six speed manual. Highway mileage on cruise at 75 MPH about 26 MPG, up close to 20 MPG on cruise at 65MPH. City - gas hog if you drive it with spirit. But still mid teens most days.

So so, better than the earlier ones. Daily driver would be fair but your paying for premium gas.

Right now, every car is expensive on gas... ; )
Yeah, they're certainly not the best...I'd say around 17-19 mpg on highway.
If you're going to use it every day, you better be prepared to pay at the pump, and prices could go even higher than they already are.
