Hot Coco Puff: I have many, many good brawls. I even won a few. But I wasn't trying to hug and kiss other men in the act.

Football is evidently a very popular game worldwide-probably THE most popular. I remember someone telling me once time when a group of international people travelled to a country for some work related stuff and in their time off in the afternoon, there were two people playing around with this football, eventually it grew into two good football terms of people who didn't know each other but all ended up having a great time and making friends.
I don't watch football or even attend any matches at all, but I can understand the interest in it and will now and then watch a rare game if someone asked me too. You need to read more about how football evolve then you will understand.

Embrace football. Embrace the pseudo-chameraderie that surrounds it. Embrace the dumbed down political aspect to it all that fans are enamoured with because formal politics goes over their heads. Bury the hatchet: I know people like you. They're the sort of people who probably got a football smashed in their face by a bigger boy when they were five and it scarred them for life. Don't be such a bloody mincer; buy a shirt, make a bet, go down to the pub and watch the match with some friends because you can't afford Sky and hate your wife anyway.

You need to be careful of what you say. American football is a whole outlook, on what the perfect sport is. American football is the most interesting sport, and not everyone sees it.

There are enough sporting options for all of us, each valid in their own way.
American football involves quite a bit of strategy, but it's not the non-stop adrenaline rush of the sport the rest of the world calls football.

You sound threatened by it? Why criticize a sport that many love to play or watch. Some people like soccer.-so.. To each his own. If you don't enjoy something then don't participate in it. Do you like other sports? Do you like when people criticize you for what you enjoy?

American Football? or Football Football? Either sport is really entertaining and fun to play, you don't have to like it. Just watch something else.
