In real life?
When 27 of the 32 teams suffer from plane crashes! Herman Edwards has NO CLUE how to run an NFL offense!
Larry Johnson is holding out (not to mention how little gas he must have in the tank after carrying 410 times last year)
Come back and ask after Edwards is gone, they develop an offensive line and get a defense!

When they improve their personnel department and stop counting on the occasional middle round pick to make an impact. If they had given Vermeil one good WR and a shutdown corner, the Chiefs could have cashed in a few years ago. No one could top that offensive line, their special teams were good, and Trent Green and Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez played great.

not for a while, Chargers are in control for about the next 3 years, then by that time the Raiders should be back on top, all this time the Chiefs will continue to age and go down..
