((2.16 g) / (cm^3)) * (1 US gallon) = 18.0260737 pounds

This density might be a little high if it's in powdered form.

The important number to memorize for the future is 8.320 lb/gal, which is the density of water. Once you know the specific gravity or the density of any other substance in g/mL, you simply multiply that number by 8.320 to get lb/gal.

For example, the sp. gr. of solid sodium bicarbonate is 2.159. So 2.159 x 8.320 = 17.96 lb/gal to four significant figures.
