My point of view is that people like Skip Bayless on cold pizza cant accept that black qb's are multitalented and that they can throw but since that doesnt fall into the typical dropback passer mode that they are criticized. I didnt know that in order to be looked at as a good qb you have to play the same as everyone else.

You know if whites had the ability to run. Ex. I Peyton Manning could run whenever he is getting pressured he would do dat instead of running out of bounds

I think its the stereotypes the owner's and GMs who draft the quarterbacks have. Look at who owns all the NFL teams...old white men. Coincidence??...

I got this idea from the players who don't fit the stereotypes. Look at Mike McMahon. He's faster than any QB except Mike Vick (look it up), but because he's white, no one will give him credit. He's always talked about as being "surprisingly fast;" the surprise isn't like he got fast over the offseason all of a sudden because he's always been a great athlete, the surprise is always that "OMG he's white!" Any black QB with McMahon's amount of talent would be given time to grow (look at Tarvaris Jackson), but since GMs and owners see white quarterback, they expect to see pocket passer quarterback. So when guys like McMahon fail to meet that stereotype, they'll bounce around the league because they won't meet what GMs imagine those players to be.

Conversely, look at a black QB, Byron Leftwich, who is a classic pocket passer. No one will admit to him being a pocket passer, however, because he is black. I've noticed that announcers, scouts, and others always note his "lack of mobility" when discussing him, and they discount his game because of it. What they don't admit is that Leftwich runs about as well as any pocket QB, and can scramble if need be, sort of like Tom Brady's speed. Instead of focusing on his positives as a pocket QB, they bemoan his inability to fit to their personal stereotypes of being a typical black QB, i.e. your "running" QB.

I think its a few old idiots like Skip Bayless, and others around his age (like 99% of the NFL owners and some of the GMs, again, coincidence??) who keep these stereotypes going, and now they've gotten into the collective unconscious of mainstream football fans, so now its a common thing that all black QBs are supposed to be runners, and all white QBs are supposed to be immobile.

Personally, I think if you can ball, you can ball, white black or green. Just bring your A game and lets stop the stereotypes!

What is this "African American"? Can't they choose a country. My ancestors are Irish, Cherokee Indian and English, so I guess I can be a Irish Indian English American? What I am saying is people are people and race, the color of the skin, nor anything else should matter. If your from America, be an American!! Now, to answer your question, I have not heard that they are all running Quarterbacks, I remember Warren Moon as being one of the best passers with maybe the most passing yards of anyone ever. He was also good at running. Some of the best QBs right now are black, but all I see is a person in a uniform trying to win a game when they play and that is all I care about. Skip Bayless sounds like a racist to me and maybe people should complain to espn about him.

Alright, I'm only going to comment on your additional details part and tell you that Steve Young is white and is one of the top 5 running quarterbacks of all time.

And by the way, nobody has ever said Byron Leftwich is a running quarterback. And black people in general are faster than white people. That's why the world records for sprinting belong to black people and every year a different marathon is won by a different African. Now I don't agree with Bayless in saying that black people can't pass, because there have been some good *** black passing quarterbacks like Cunningham, Moon, Culpepper (2004 era), but then again, I hate Skip Bayless and never agree with his ***** ***.

Yeah, its definitely a race issue, huh? Look. White people and black people are different. If everyone was equal, the NFL would be primarily white (Because the U.S. is primarily white) but we all know that isn't the case. Besides Warren Moon, there has never been a top notch black passer. Vick? Great runner, bad passer. Vince? Good runner, bad passer. Leftwich? Bad, bad ,bad.

Who are the best Passing QB's today?

Manning, Brady, Brees, etc. All white.

Who are the best runningbacks today?

L.T., L.J., Alexander. All black.

See the difference? You can run these lists about 10-20 more places (Mcnabb isn't top 10)before another race is introduced.

Really, get over it. If you have a problem with white QB's passing better than black QB's, I'm sorry.

"Skip Bayless talks just to stir up an argument, he is a vile human being and will disagree with himself for the sake of conflict. He is pretty much a clown and nothing he says carries any valid point. "

So, so true. I hate that worthless waste of life.

Probably because most of them are. But some start out being runners and develop into pocket passers. Most who do get a spot at quarterback have a knack for running the ball and in college it serves their team very well to do so. In the pros, not as much. Moon was pretty much always a pocket passer. McNabb turned into one. Vick tried and failed horribly. For every pocket passer i list, there are at least seven running qbs in the college ranks. Skip Bayless talks just to stir up an argument, he is a vile human being and will disagree with himself for the sake of conflict. He is pretty much a clown and nothing he says carries any valid point.

Because that is what the majority of them are .... very athletic RBs. Probably the best all around black QB to date was Warren Moon. Moon didn't have the athletic abilities of a Vick or Vince Young but the guy was a gifted QB, good arm, read Ds well, nice touch on his passes, very accurate.

Until a black QB can win a game from the pocket, and not just with his legs, that will be the when the stereotype will end. Nobody says they have to be pocket QB's only, however, they have to be able to win games from the pocket.

Cunningham and Moon could win games from the pocket. Vick, Young, McNair (all QB's that stink if you take away their ability to run). Only McNabb has proven he can win a game throwing the ball.

Sorry about the stereotype but it has to be proven wrong to be changed.

my point exactly-

Warren Moon was not a running QB and Steve Young was. Its not about race.

Todays game style and offenses rely a little more on a QB who is a little bit mobile and can avoid the sack. There are also more black QB's than ever before. What difference does it make.

African Amercican Quarterbacks get labeled running quaterbacks do to being flushed out the pocket by swarming defenses. Some analysts would rather you sit in the pocket while it is collapsing instead of taking off, which is dumb. I am sick and tired of people criticizing talent, No your first option should not be run but you should not sit in a pocket collapsing and risk taking a sack or getting hurt. Scrambling is dangerous for quaterbacks I admit that and when doing so you should get out of bounds, or slide instead of taing any kind of blows.

Well, it all comes down to coincidental fact. Most black QB's enjoy moving around and out of the pocket, and some are dual threats, but no-one comes to mind when I think of a deep threat black QB.
Its the exact opposite w/ white qb's.

And just to point out a fact there are no white starting RB's or 2nd string RB's in the NFL.
