Ain't it amazing?! Careful, or YOU'LL be called a racist--not the jack-*** who wrote the article! In fact, the article so incensed me, that I wrote a Letter to the Editor of the SunTimes.

That is not what the quoted sentence implies. It implies that some women do not sweat when they work out - presumably because they have very tame workout routines - while the person being discussed is implied to sweat, leading us to the conclusion that she takes her workout more seriously.

Though, the qoute does allude to the comparatively unique qualities of the hair of persons of african descent - and that was enough to get Don Imus fired, so the writer had better watch it.
