Bush's approval rating is at 26% now. That's the third lowest for a US president. Second place is Richard Nixon at 23%. In first is Harry Truman at 22%.

And, yes, I'm well aware of the low approval rating of the Democratic Congress. They suck too, for not having any balls. I'm asking about Bush, though.

It won't reach zero, as long as there's corporate executives and their families making billions off the war on terror.

When he dips below Truman, Bush will feign some illness to garner sympathy - he's already using a cancer-stricken press secretary, and I can remember Nixon getting phlebitis when his rating dropped. Whoever said we're too sentimental has it right. We should have impeached the buffoon long ago.

All examples you mention were related to war time. Truman for WW2 and Nixon for Vietnam, though Watergate did not help.

To answer, not much worse. I think it will go back up. He will veto democrats all over the place and that will win some conservatives back.

alot higher than the pelosi reid regimes which note, at this time is in fact lower. and besides popularity does NOT equate with correctness as very few of the liberal extremists in power now even understand or care about the proper defense of this country against al qaeda. im not a corporate exec or family member. im a survivor of wtc in manhattan and i saw first hand the damage that liberals out of control can cause when they ignore a dangerous situation as clinton did for so very long.

Bush will use anthrax like he used in 2001 to gain some approval rating.

as long as he is gone, does it matter?

as for the congress, yes the dems could be way more aggressive. but to say that they have a majority is stretching it. they have a very slight one in the senate, very slight. and a small one in the house. i would have to say that the republicans deserve more of that low rating for their obstructionist ways.

did you hear them the other night? whining and crying and stomping their feet. then they took their ball and went home.

roadrunner, i just puked after reading your answer.

I think it will be around 15%. I waiting to see what will happen in November when they talk about the results in Iraq. A lot of his supporters are going to wait to see what will happen, if things aren't better in Iraq his ratings will go down evn more.

....while the Dem Congress is hovering around 14%.
