am a 12 year old girl going to a boys birthday party where I will be the only girl, and its for a 12 year old boy. Can you give me some tips on how to act all confidente and to not humiliate myself?? I know most of the boys, but there are some i am not going to know. Its a pool party, I was invited and another girl was invited but she cant go. We are pretty much good friends with him, but not besties. Thanks
P.S. The guy is not a creep and there is parent supervision.

you should go and have a good time, be yourself if you are friends you should be fine, if you start to feel nervous, offer to help mom out with party stuff....

As long as you are POSITIVE that there will be parental supervision, then just be yourself. Don't try to act all older than you are, because that can cause ALL sorts of problems. 12 year old girls are not expected to act like anything other than 12 year old girls, and 12 year old boys are not expected to act like anything other than 12 year old boys. If you're REALLY concerned, my best advice is to not act all giggly if you are particularly interested in one (or more) of the boys. Just act like they are all friends, not like you have a crush or anything.

And please please please be careful. Make FOR CERTAIN that there WILL BE parental supervision, and if there isn't or for some reason there can't be, you need to call your parents and go home right away. It's inappropriate for there to be a lone 12 year old girl in a group of guys (ANY age) without parental supervision. I realize they are "only 12", but even "only 12 year olds" can get into serious trouble.

Just go and act like yourself. That's why you were invited in the first place - obviously they think you are cool enough to hang out with. Trying to act differently because you are the only girl is what will make things awkward - good luck.

Well, you said that there was going to be Boys there you knew so, kinda hang around them, and if some of the boys that you dont know approaches you and makes ADVANCES (you know what i'm talking about) either kick them in the Nuts or take some pepper spray. But thats what i would do.

Hope This Helps

1] wear a good swimsuit - not super tiny or super matronly either. A racerback two piece or cross back one piece will stay on through everything.
2] bring loose shorts and slightly oversize T to cover-up if necessary. Slip on sandals or flip flops will go on and off easily. Sunscreen, sunglasses.
3] bring a camera, and take pictures 'for your friend' - for some reason people behave better if photographed.
4] Nip any off color remarks or suggestions immediately - loudly say, "Knock it off, skank!" and move away from him immediately.
5] ask for help from parents if boys get gross.
6] act confdent and happy - that's what everybody does, even if they aren't!

it might be hard but just act as normal as possible. dont be like all over all of the guys, and be fun and cool and do your best to just put up with whatever weird stuff they are doing or talking about. i would suggest indtead of making it like a big flirt fest try being like one of the guys. itll make you more comfortable

Just be yourself...Don't try to act all cool, because something ALWAYS happens to the ones who act like someone there not, They always make a fool of themselves.

hmm..
well,
my brother friend always
has his birthday at his pool,
and he would always invite me,
too,
and some other girls i was friends with,
but they couldn't come either.
so, yes, i was in the same boat as you.
i guess i was just at that age that it
didn't matter to me,
and that we just had fun at the pool.

If you were my daughter, I would recommend a "guest" appearance meaning keep it short. Boys like to wrestle, eat and play video games....it will get boring for you....and if they get bored...you wind up being the target....you know your friends the best. Be yourself.
