One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was this......instead of making sure your man is everything you want, make sure he's NOTHING you DON'T want! After kissing a few frogs before finding the man of my dreams I learned this:
A good man says what he means and means what he says. What he does, says and thinks (or says he thinks) should be in sync (otherwise who's he trying to pretend to be?).
A good man calls when he says he will, does not play mind games, is not unreasonably jealous or suspicious, takes care of himself and treats others with kindness (if he's nice to you but rude to the waiter it means little). He shares your values but that doesn't mean you are exactly alike...its way better to be COMPATIBLE and complement each other than to be similar!
And oh yeah, good looking is definitely a good thing too. ;-)

Someone whos:
Nice- Giving or caring and loves almost everyone and can get along with everyone.
Smart- Education is important. I want the kids to be educated as well and I need a guy thats intuitive and smarts pay the bills!
A gentleman- Courteous, not violent, repectful young man
Honest- I wouldn't want to be with a liar...He's more likely to cheat.
Values/beliefs- He doesn't have to be a hard christian but at least believe in God or a God. He should have values that he sticks to as well
Goals- How will you progress if you don't have any goals or a plan...I have goals in life so he would need goals as well. You need something to aim and work for in your life to be successful...
Funny- I love a guy with a sense of humor...
Talkative- Quiet guys you don't know what they're thinking...They're very suspicious and thats something I don't like.
& family oriented!- I love my family and I trhink is important to be family oriented and love and enjoy spending time with your family.
All those qualities make up the perfect guy for me. [Sorry its soo long!=]

I look for a sensitive man but not too wimpy, he has to be fairly smart and able to survive on a deserted island if need be. You know, kind of handy and manly! Nice, lips, butt and pecs doesn't hurt anything either!

(I'm going to be dating this guy as soon as volleyball season's over so I'll have time.) When I first met him, I was attracted to him by his looks. He's in shape and slim and sooo handsome. When I got to know him more, I found that he was funny, thoughtful, and confident. He likes to act, so he likes to be the center of attention, but he's also willing to put others first, and not hog the attention. He's also very talented with music, and I love music.
So yeah, he's incredibly good-looking, so sweet, and he's a Christian, and I'm a Christian, too, and that's very important to me. Right now, he seems perfect for me, but everyone's got their own idea of the perfect guy or girl.

sporty but not a total jock in that sports is all they know

i love manly guys. the kinda guy that's not a pretty boy. ugh, can't stand the pretty boys. i actually like manly guys. they don't need to be ripped either ... just a guys guy.
a guy that can play football but loves to go to the museum with me (AND THEY EXIST! my first love was like that)
