I don't understand why a few of you think this is an odd question. I think it's a good question because you can tell me what you want to about artichokes!

Artichokes have always been my favorite vegetable! My mom used to cook them for me on my birthday. I can't get them where I live now, because they don't grow here. In fact, people here have never heard of them at all. (I live in Jamaica.) I dip them in things other than butter, too. Sometimes yoghurt, sometimes salad dressing. No matter what they are good.

They're kind of funny looking. I've never just eaten an artichoke but I love them in spinach and artichoke dip.

I love them.

Small ones in salads

Big ones where the leaves are dipped in butter or mayonase.

Steamed, Boiled whatever they are my favorite vegetable.

I think because as a kid it was a vegi you could eat like a french fry. You could actually play with your food and not get yelled at!

mmm mmm yummy, they're very good. I make them all the time. I have to be sure to snip off the tip of each leaf that has that sticker, otherwise my kids poke their finger. But they scarf 'em down, even the 12 month old dips his in butter! The hearts are awesome, too.

I used to think they were gross but I have eaten them in dishes that had an Italian type of dressing on it. When they're like that I think they're okay but I doubt I'd eat them as is.

I love them too, boiled in hot salt water, eat the meat from the leaves... that's how I ate them in Morocco. YUM!

Are those the things where you take the leaf off and dip it mayonnaise? If it is I think that they taste ok but it doesn't fill me up!
