Hi if the cooker belongs to the landlord it is his/her responsability to pay for servicing and repairs. If you actually brought the cooker with you then it is down to you to pay.
If it is a seperate hob and oven and neither are working then it will be a promblem with the power supply or gas. If it electric check if the fuse has blown or the RCS (switch) has switched off in the electric box. or if it is gas check your metre is switched on and has credit.
If neither correct the problem phone your landlord under English Law your landlord is allowed 4 hours to respond as a cooker is considered essential if he has not arrange for a repair within 4 hours you can arrange and pass the bill onto your landlord

I think the laws are different according to country and state. I am a landlord and from what I know you would have to replace it. Unfortunately trying to prove that she broke the toilet seat would end up costing you money in court, more than the cost of replacement. She could say the toilet broke simply through general use (tenants can damage property if it is considered to be in general use. However, I would take my time! I don't think a toilet seat is considered an urgent repair (gas leaks etc.. are). In Australia, where I'm from, the government provides a little booklet which details tenants and landlords rights. If you have an agent managing your property speak with them, they may have such a book. Good luck

I am not sure what a HOB is . The oven is his though, I know that much. Give him a call, he likely has a favorite handyman for these things, he may ask you to make arrangements yourself and send him the bill. Ask him how he wants to handle it.
You are a good tenent, you should not have a problem, he will want you to be happy.
BTW, sometimes it is cheaper to buy a new oven then to fix and old one, you might mention some sales in your area to the landlord.

if the cooker has been provided by the landlord then its his responsibility to have it repaired. contact him or his agents asap, if theres a delay ask if u can get it fixed and let them have the bill they sometimes allow this or the agent may have a contractor that will do it. dont get it fixed and expect they will pay the bill ask first. however cooker is something u cannot do without and ur paying for it in yr rent so they should do it quick for you.

I don't know what a hob is, but the landlord is responsible for the stove, if it was rented with the apartment....

That's normally the LL's responsibility unless your agreement states otherwise. Notify your LL of the problem and he'll arrange to have it repaired.
Do NOT call someone out yourself! If you do, YOU will be responsible for the bill.
