Please , think for a minute. Now add up all the taxes you do pay. Next look at all the waste with the taxes you do pay. Don't compare this to anyone else or any other country. Now visualise how good it really could be. Having an acceptance attitude is a bit defeatist don't you think?

Acutally we are not among the lowest taxed countries. While I agree we do not pay as much as some of the European countries, they get free healthcare out of it. After including what we pay for the current private 3rd rate health serivces, i find little to brag about.

I dont mind paying taxes but i do want my money used wisely. Too much of the "average Joe's" money is taken and given to other people and programs. There is no incentive to work hard when the more you work, the more the government takes. Taxes are supposed to be used for two things, to enforce the law and the military. Thats it.

Because, I don't agree with much of their use to begin with.

Besides, just because other countries pay more in taxes doesn't make taxes a good thing.

not true, check your facts before you post a question like this.
almost HALF the money i make goes into income tax and property taxes. This does not include all the sales tax I pay everyday.

I'm not a Democrat, but quit blaming them, Republican do that as well. The only Tax breaks Republicans give are for the rich, not the middle class.

That's like saying: "Billy, be glad we only roll your little body around on hot coals every third day, instead of every other day like Tommy's parents do." Just because other countries do it doesn't mean it's right. Most taxes in America are pointless and go to support a government that is far too large.

Because the country has a different mindset about the purposes of said taxes and responsibilities of citizenship, so tax rate comparisons mean nothing.

because the liberal tax and spend schemes are not needed. the choice in the us is fundamental...i dont want or need the government to manage my affairs when they cant manage their own. there is nothing wrong, illegal or immoral about allowing me to have and control more of what i legitimately earn..i will certainly spend and help the economy the right way, through a free market....try and get liberals to understand that concept...fat chance.
