Since I became pregnant I have had almost no energy whatsoever. I find it hard to get up when I need, and to do anything lately. Is there anything I can take (that won't promote the pharmacutical companies) that won't hurt my unborn child?

again I reiterate, I don't want to promote the pharmacutical companies. there must be something natural, that won't cost as much as prescribed medications that are fairly useless and cause you to take even more medication for the side effects.

The 1st trimester is exhausting. There is a lot going on. Eat, drink water and sleep. I slept through most of my 1st trimester. The 2nd trimester (around 14 weeks) gets better and then the 3rd trimester you get tired again.

Generally, the only thing you can do is find out if you are anemic and get treated for it. Unfortunately, this is most often caused by a hormone problem. There are some women who semi-sleep through more than half their pregnancy due to this. If you are in early pregnancy, usually at about 4 months, your energy picks up again. If you are later than that, I'd just ask the doctor to test your iron and/or thyroid (which, if not working right, will do the same thing BTW, pregnant or not). If it is your thyroid function, you will be given medication as an underfunctioning thyroid can have some problems with baby growth.

Yes. Take naps whenever possible(like during lunch hour or after coming home from work) and be patient. When you hit the 2nd trimester it'll get alot better and then return with a vengence at the end.
