So you're probably thinking: "Wow...what a DUMB question!"
But really, my friend, let me appeal to your better taste. Society has an "18 or older" standard in existence...so you decide.

Is the 19 yr old a "woman" or is the 20 yr old? OR are they Both. OR ....neither.

Consider this a poll inspired by my own curiosity.

I would say it depends on the maturity level of the person you speaking of. Also, society may define the person as a woman if she is married and or has children even though maturity levels may not be equal.

It is all a matter of perception and the front the individual puts up.

Hello chick. I think you need to go to the doctors and explain about your depression because he will be able to give you something to help ease it. There are also courses of treatment you can undertake to help with mental health issues. You also need to get in touch with your council and explain that you have no fixed abode. You will have to fill in a form, and at the very least they will offer you B&B, which has got to beat a sofa any day! They should not be concerned about the face that you are DSS. At least this way you will have an address and a base for you to start getting your life on track. Best of luck to you mate, I really hope that you'll be ok.

Depends how you choose to define "woman."
Are you talking legally? Physically? Emotionally? Psychologically? Sexually? Financially?
Are you talking objectively, or relative to other females in general or a specific female?
Are you considering how the female in question chooses to identify herself, or does her self-perception not matter?

Your question doesn't ask enough to allow a thorough answer.
Personally, I would refer to both the 19-year-old and the 20-year-old as women, or teenage women, since they are of legal age and carry the legal responsibilities of adults.

ANY female, regardless of her age, is a "girl" to me if she has sex appeal to me. This is NOT a sexist statement... it is a compliment to them. That's because for an unknown reason, I've always associated the word, "woman," with matronliness. I've known beautiful "girls" in their 50s and 60s. For me, the term is entirely associated with the appeal they have to me, sexually and/or romantically.

I also should add that I've always been an egalitarian, and as such have fought for decades on the side of females and males being regarded in ALL ways as EQUALS. And you'll never find a stronger **opponent** of the dolts of Anti-Choice who seek to reverse Roe vs. Wade (the Emancipation Proclamation for girls and women) and hurl America back into the Dark Ages.

neither one, most woman don't mature till they are 25...decisions you make at 19 or 20 are usually immature believe it or not, most woman that marry before 25 get divorce due to immature decisions...most women don't get out of college and get a job till they are 25.. At 19 don't worry about being a woman...Being a woman means you traveled and explored what the world has to offer..A woman is somebody with experience...Dont forget that ..A number doesnt make you a woman...

Just what the HECK do you think the wedding ceremony is all about? White gown (symbolizes a girl, pureness & virginty ) she marries a man (has sex) and goes from a girl....to a woman.
.....so if the 19 & 20yr old aren't married, (common-law or other-wise......do you ask them if they still have their HYMEN?
.....cause you wanna know if they're still girls,....or women!

......and YES,.....it's a "REAL" DUMB (not well-thought-out ) QUESTION

There's an old adage that goes:- "A girl is a girl till she be a wife, a boy is a boy the whole of his life." Don't know that that really helps any, but I thought it was interesting.

age isn't the biggest factor. some women can act 15 when they're 20 or 19. i think it depends on each individual.
