I've never gotten 'chills down my spine,' but the hair on the back of my neck has reacted to a scary/uncomfortably unknown situation by standing up...When that happens, I get my little defenses ready as I go on away to a safer place, whether I actually see someone or not!

I think this 'phenom' happens to everybody in some way at some time, though as we learn the world around us it may take a more drastic fright to cause such a strong physical response. Then again maybe not...think of all the missing kids and their perhaps unfounded trust in a stranger. Some may be just grabbed, and then by mom or dad, but some are also just innocent of danger signals, I guess. (teach them!)

Not a good topic, sorry. Anyway yeah, I get the 'chills' on the back of my neck, and I always pay attention to that!

When that happens to me it's because some deep emotion is suddenly unearthed by something on tv or the radio usually. If I can't connect it to that, it's usually because I'm cold. If I was talking to someone who gave me chills I would think it was a really bad sign probably. Thankfully I don't recall that happening!

think of you're exterior contained in direction of wintry climate with in simple terms shorts and a shirt for heat temperature. you will possibly oftentimes react with a wave of shivering which would be felt 'traveling' down the backbone. you additionally can equate this sensation to seeing an somewhat frightening scene in a action picture or being spooked in a haunted domicile. The result's which you experience chilly and your epidermis feels like ice; this makes the exterior, itself, look to 'circulate slowly' and hence simulates the belief of a 'relax' taking place one's backbone. the final actuality, nevertheless, is that that's in simple terms the nervous device's reaction and many times not an honestly replace in temperature.

Chills down the spine are actually part of the mostly left behind fight or flight reflex. It is hackles we no longer have trying to stand up stiffly. . . . You don't have to see anything for such to happen, the body senses and knows.

To me it means either your cold, or you just heard/saw something that makes you cringe, subconsciously or not. The dreamer in me likes to think of cats or other beings walking over my grave, but the whole time travel thing just screws your mind as you can never figure it out :)
