I think that Harry Potter is done. With a story as well written as that, how could you ever top it? I just sincerely hope that she continues to write something, because J.K. Rowling has such a fabulous way with words and I just know there are more inside her brain. Whatever she writes in the future, I will be on the front line waiting to read it, even if it is just a napkin from her local coffee house!

"I’m not going to say I won’t. I don’t think I will. I loved writing those books. I love writing it. So, I feel I am done but you never know." And then they moved on to another topic. Based on that and other comments she's made in the past, if she ever does decide to write more Harry Potter books (not counting that Encyclopedia she's supposedly working on), it won't be for a long time, and there's a good chance she never will.

She has said many times that she won't. She is happy in how the story of harry potter ended and she is ready to take a break. She will write again, but not a harry potter book, she might do an encyclopedia thing for charity about harry potter but it is not for sure.

It has been said that she will write an encyclopedia of the wizarding world for the things she was going to write in her books but took them out. And that she will write a follow up that goes into more detail about everyone's life after Voldemort's death.
But first, she's taking a vacation!
I'm assuming she will also probably write something on the discoveries and such Harry's sons go through at Hogwarts!

The Harry Potter series is officially over with, but if you're still craving it, fanfiction.net has good stories based off of Harry Potter, some of which are better than you might think.

She says she most likely will not write a ook with Harry as the protoganist (sp?) but she probally will make a book that contains backstories of a lot of characters.

Unfortunately no. Harry might do something else in the book and will be long gone.

No, but there are a few other writers who may write stuff that is much much better. What should we read next?
