Where have people lost the right to say they are white &/or English?

If they have, that would be wrong, but show us an example please.

The English have a problem in that the only people in England who are classified as "The English" is the English aristocracy. Most other so-called English folk only have an ancestry going back a few short generations.

To be sure a person is "English" they would need to be able to prove their ancestry back to at least 1066.

No such difficulty applies either to the Welsh, Cornish, Irish and the Scots; all are classified as Celts with an ancestry of at least 10,000 years in Breten and Eire.

What really puzzles me is just how many 'whites' in UK have come to believe they're living in a country which is over-run by non-whites.

This is simply not the case. The last census back in c2000 showed a very strong majority of the UK pop as being 'white' and the English making up about 85% of the total pop of UK. Next biggest 'mob' are the Celts.

Non-whites, black, browns, yellows etc., only make up about 4 - 5% of the total pop.

Where I live, we only have about 0.9% of folk of Indian origin, yet we have one of the world's biggest Hindu Fests outside of India.

Do I mind? Hell no. Before the Hindus brought their magic to where I live, we had no festival save that of rolling down a hill and nearly killing oneself.

I have to say no, I haven't lost the right to say I'm white. I am a lawyer and can tell you that I have a perfect right to go around telling everybody that I'm white - even if I were black. People can generally tell that I'm white when they see me though, although maybe I should make sure blind people and people who I speak to on the phone who have never met me know that I'm white.
In fact, you know what? I think I will. I think they too have the right to know that I am white. Thank you.

There was a story on Littlejohn's page in today's Daily Mail, about a woman who applied for a job but was turned down , not because she was too white, but because she was English. The job was only open to people of' Asian, Indian,, White other( eg, Irish, Welsh,Scottish, European), African or of mixed race origins. This for a job in the Anglia region !
This is the state of things today, and we English just can't let this go on.
Ms Eddy. I suppose you read" The Guardian": The left wing's mouthpiece . Or does your intellect stretch to" The Sun" ?
By the way , you are aware that ms stands for manuscript? Do you really want to be perceived as a dried up piece of vellum ?

Don't be so ridiculous!

Just read shadowman's entry. Some advice for you, don't believe a word the Daily Mail writes in its columns. That story is simply ridiculous, all questions around ethnicity or nationality and age and sex for that matter (unless for a good reason the applicant must be male or female e.g. female crisis worker), are removed from application forms before selection and only used for Equal Opps monitoring. Yet another scare story in the Daily Hate.

Well-white is Caucasian now. Look back on the old census records and people are listed as white, Indian, German, etc.
