A lot of that comes from white folks too, don't kid yourself.

Don't generalize... a lot of black people say "ask a question" and a lot of white people say "axe a question."

Also, just because "ask" is proper English doesn't make "axe" incorrect. You understand what the other person is saying - try not to let it get under your skin and respect differences!

I've actually asked a few of my black friends that same question and the answer I got most often is that they don't want to sound white. Its a culture thing I suppose with American blacks.

I saw a Black person obviously with a sense of humor driving a car with a bumper sticker that said, "Axe me about Ebonics".

Oddly enough, they think it's "cool" to be that way. What bothers me the most is seeing black kids acting like that. You would think the parents grew up and didn't act that way anymore. But nope. They continue to allow it in their offspring. Disgusting

Why be an instigator? Your question truly should not be generalized. I don't know where you live, but you need to be cultured around various "African Americans". There's just as much diversity amongst "African Americans" as any other culture. Your question is so irrational and petty. You're under the wrong category for predilection. .

Everybody on the entire planet has butchered the English language in use, spelling or improper pronunciation at some point. Unless you speak the Queen's English, you have no right pointing fingers or stereotyping people.

The one thing everyone here will agree on is that your racist undertones have no place here.

Get back in your hole, you pathetic little man. The world doesn't need you or want you.
