Where can I find info on senior housing for rent that's government sponsored, like they help you pay for rent if you're on medical. I'm trying to help a relative, but i had a hard time finding good info online. let me know if you know of any helpful web sites. thanks.

We're having the same problem. What the government agencies say is sign up for the waiting list.

I think you just have to try to be prepared to get on the phone and call or visit as many places as you can. Sometimes you can luck out if you can hire a professional senior advocate. We currently have found a studio apartment in Cudahy that has low rent, but no senior services. We have hired a housekeeper to come in and clean every day, but it's costing $50/day.

You could look in a search for HUD or Section 8, but try the link below first.
