we're not aloud out after 8:30 and we have to be in bed by 9:30.its annoying so a few months ago me and my 15yr older brother harry snuck out when our parents thought we wer in bed.we met up with some of harrys friends.it was good fun,we just hung around the valley and there were a few girls.we did it more after that.there was drinking sometimes and a bit of messin with the girls.but a few nights ago when we were on our way back to our house, harry was a little bit drunk and he smashed our next door neighbours window with a rock.harry would never usualy do something like that but he'd definatly had a bit to much to drink.we both felt really bad the next day.when our parents asked us if we knew anything we said no,i feel guilty now because our parents trusted us and stuff.i want to tell them but i dont want to get everyone in trouble.our dad spanks us HARD and we've never done something like this before.i dont want to get spanked.the windows fixed now.should i tell or just leave it?

if you were responsible you would tell. you will gain respect from your parents. tell them how sorry you are. your friends apparently had nothing to do with the broken window so you don't need to bring them into the situation and they will not get in trouble. you should tell your parents that if you and your brother could stay out an hour or so later you would not feel the need to sneak out. they may not agree but its worth a try. you parents want you safe. children being out late is frightening to almost every parent. there are so many dangerous and horrible possibilities. cut out the drinking and messing with girls, its stupid, youth is precious and short and your wasting it away trying to act like an adult. this whole thing seems like a big deal to you now but its not. its petty. its just a speck of dust in your life. tell your parents. get it over with and then you can put it all behind you with a clear conscience.

Just leave it. What your parents don't know won't hurt them. It's over now so forget about it.
