CLEAN!!! CLEAN!!! CLEAN!!! Make sure the place you are going to is very clean. And use clean tools. It's better to take your own. Tools, Like nail clippers, files, and cuticle pushers. They have great manicue sets at Bath and Body works, and sometimes offer them at only $10.00. You can also go to a beauty store like sally's. You can ask them to wear gloves and wash there hands b/4. If they happen to be rushing. Tell them to slow down, they could cut you with the electic buffer. Wash your hands really good when they ask you to do so, and if they do cut you, make sure they put alcohol on the cut. It will sting a little. Don't be afaird to speak up. If you do not like something tell them. Your paying, and want to get your money worth right!!! After, make sure you clean your nails. Underneath and around. After you clean them be sure to dry your hands really well. Little alcohol and soap. They do tend to make your nails weak...if you get then alllll the time. It's good to let your nails breath b/4 getting a new set. Like one- two weeks.

WARNING!!!! Try not to hit your nails. I also seem to hit my thumb, and it hurts like heck!!! it throbs, so be careful. Other then that, it's just a matter of being clean.

Well by going to the Asian shop, your regular nail will definitely be damaged because of the drill that they use on your nail. My nail technician is not Asian and she does not use a drill on your nails. She does everything by hand and if I take off the acrylic, my nails are ok and don't have a dent in them like the Asian shops leave. Your nails may also hurt if it's the first time. That happens to some people. Asian nail shops are popular because they are cheaper. You get what you pay for.

if they are not done correctly, water can seep under them and you will grow fungus

hahah dont worry about it my lady was oriental and she did a really good job=) even though she was a little hard to understand hahah.
they will do everything for you and then near the end ask you what colour you want it spraypainted..just tell them french and the rest is nothing
i love acrylics but be careful because my friend once ripped off my REAL nail with my acrylic when we tried to take them off...but yeah it grew back okay haha no worries it just hurt a lot!

best of luck=)

Remember to ask if you get a free back fill. I a guy and not sure what it called, but, as your real nails grow you have to add a filler behind the fakes.
