winnipeg is so boring i was there 08 06 2007 went to the manitoba derby and to see nickleback every thing was closed couldnt even eat not a bar open was like walking around in a ghost town was monday why do they roll up the sidewalk at 6 pm in a city when they want the tourists to visit

You were in Winnipeg on a holiday. But restaurants are open after 6 pm ( actually, until midnight). However, I won't recommend to go to the Forks or anywhere in downtown area. Downtown area is just terrible, full of addicts and alcoholics.

You are full of crap. There are bars and clubs in several corners of the city. They were open. Restaurants were open, yes the malls were closed at 6 that day, but it was a civic holiday, dummy! Either you weren't really here, you were holed up in a sleazebag hotel, or you actually tried to find a bar or club by walking down the highway from Assiniboia Downs.

Pity you didn't like Winnipeg. If you were pent-up on being bored to tears, then you should be. BTW Monday was a holiday everyone was up at Grand Beach, Gimli, Minnedosa or out with friends on Corydon having a blast.

How is Winnipeg boring? I guess you just stayed in one part of the city... the best places to go are the Forks, (Always fun yuo can go shopping and go on a boat ride and eat and stuff on it) Polo Park Mall, (Our biggest mall , great to go shopping at.) and if you wanted to go to a bar the best ones are My bar and the TYC!( Both clubs always on live on the radio!)
