The average American is making roughly the same amount of money that they did in 1988 and are working more hours for that same sum yet our elected officals are proposing to raise taxes to fix bridges and water systems across the country by a tax increase to gas ( of all things ). Not to mention shell out a bundle on more studies.
The fact is they already had studies and had the facts in their laps on the levies in New Orleans before Katrina hit and the bridge that failed in Minnasota...again they had the facts and did nothing.
They seem keen to keep pinching Americans for more who are already in a crunch to get by...I say its time to make them carry a portion of that burden which directly effects their pocket books and retirement funds.
