i dont work at a fast food joint, i have when i was younger, but why do ppl think its ok to make fun of them, like somebody asked a question about how useless school was, and someone told them to drop out and go to mc'ds, is really ok to make fun of ppl just cuz theyre not as smart, many ppl are just born to not be as intelligent as others, so why do you make fun of them, when that could just as easily be you, and another thing is not all ppl that work at fast food places are morons, they have a good head on their shoulders, these are the ppl we should be making fun of, cuz theyre capable of much more, but theyre just to much of a pathetic loser

Assholes do that, and fast food people could be college students or single parents working two jobs, or anything...

People are ignorant and just make assuptions about the employees. Maybe this employee lost a good job and held on too long waiting for another job in his field untill he was so desperate to make the car payment that he had to take a McJob. I worked for years in that industry. I was broke and couldnt manage my money very well. Alot of folks with those jobs drink or party in some other way. Maybe it's a lack of motivation for some, bad luck for others, and a golden oppurtunity for the semi-functional.

If grown ups are working at a fast food place, I just think I'm glad they're out there working instead of sitting on their butt sucking up government money. Plus some of them ENJOY working there! They may have small kids, and usually the fast food places are very lenient on schedules, time off, etc.

And kids that work there....hey there aren't that many jobs that kids can work at! My daughter has been at a grocery store for 2 years now (she's now 16) and she started out as carry out til she turned 16 and now she is a checker. I'm really proud she has a job like that cause she does get raises, etc.

However...if she were working at a fast food place for the past 2 years I'd still be proud of her!!! Any kid who starts working at 14 on her own choice, with 90% of it going into the bank....and she's still at that job 2 years later...they have my respect!

I don't make fun of the mentally challenged people that work there or the youngsters that work there but the people who work there because they were too busy being an idiot while I was working hard trying to get an education deserve to be told like it is.

Well, EVERYONE is prejudice in one way or another. Being prejudice does not have to mean against races, but also includes social status and presentation to name a few. Me for instance, I cannot eat at an establishment if the people who work there look like they do not bathe themselves or are rude. That is me being prejudice.

Well it's not really a high paying job, or a respectable one, which is mostly the goal of many people.

Its pathetic isn't it? People make fun of other people just because it makes them feel like they're "better" than someone else.

I've been embarassed to admit to working in one. I didn't want it to be a reflection of my intelligence, even though I'm studying chemistry in college. It has a stigma, and I'm not sure why.
