Why do people play slowpitch when you can play fastpitch OMG the only way to make high school, college, world, travel, olympics is if you play fastpitch why slowpitch sucksssssssss

OK sorry I didn't mean like guys in there 20's and up but i meant like girls age 12-16
and the olympics cancilled baseball and softball b/c not many countries participated

I totally agree with you! I play fastpitch softball competitively for the reasons that you mentioned above, college being the number one reason. There are so many girls in my school who play slowpitch and think that they are so good and that it is so hard, but slowpitch is so easy. So I guess that they play slowpitch because it's easier??
The real athletes play fastpitch!

I play fastpitch and I'm a pitcher so I figure it's for some people that don't want to hurt there shoulders pitching and stuff because if you haven't done it in a while it does kinda hurt. Plus if your afraid of getting hit the ball isn't coming as fast. I guess that's why and I think they had slowpitch first anyway. Not sure though.

old men can't play fastpitch softball (maybe some but not the ones that want to drink beer while they play- lol)
anyway- fastpitch is being taken out the the Olympics because USA always wins so they're saying there isn't enough competition.

I started playing slo-pitch when I was 23. Do you think the majors were going to call me at that point? Nope. On the other hand, I played slo-pitch until I was 46. I wasn't good enough to consider playing fast-pitch, but I had a lot of fun over the years playing softball.
Not to get too preachy, but anything that gets people out of their sofas and into athletics is good. We're all doing the best we can, and everybody wins that way.

Some people have no choose. Like me. I can't play in a competetive league right now because of hockey so I have to play in my town league which is slow pitch and basically sucks. A bunch of my coaches have told me to find a new team to play on because I'm more advanced than most people in the league but I had no time. This year coming up I'm going to play on my high school team. In my school everyone makes freshman team but I'm hoping for JV. I know I'm probably one of the best people from my town at softball, but we go to school with people from another town and they're league is more competitive than ours.
So to answer your question....Slow pitch is for less advanced players.

Slowpitch was invented for us has beens and never will bes. It wasn't meant for up-and-comers such as yourself. I take it you are an aspiring athlete. Good luck to you, and knock 'em dead!!!
